In the Practice term, UFP provides an optional two-month internship for all Fellows in order to facilitate the transition from classroom learning to the complex world of work across multiple sectors. The exposure to real- world problems as a part of the internships is fuelled by the belief that our graduates are going to shape India’s transformation in the coming years. Internship outputs can take multiple forms including conceptual papers, policy briefs or analysis, spatial plans, business models, technical reports, film and video, among others.

Over the years, IIHS has partnered with development-sector organisations, think tanks/do tanks, research institutions, movements, campaigns, government agencies and private sector organisations, for UFP internships. The diversity of internship organisations highlights the multiple possibilities of interdisciplinary urban practice for our Fellows.
