The IIHS Library was established in December 2008 and has since been adding books and journals to create a plethora of inter-disciplinary material. Presently housed in the Bengaluru City Campus, it has about 24,000 books, including 710 cartographic materials, 52 case studies, 630 journal back issues, 1,220 CDs and films and 66 academic journals and magazines. The Library offers extensive access to the latest academic research through wide ranging journal subscriptions. It hosts a Data Library with the most current Indian macro data available including public data sources such as the Census and NSS. The Library subscribes to the Manupatra database for legal information and offers access to databases such as the CapEx, IndiaStat, and the EPW Research Foundation – India Time Series. It is also an external member of British Council Library. Equipped with public computers and teaching aids such as Mendeley and Turnitin, the Library supports Fellows through circulation, reference and information services.
