SHD focusses on social transformation processes that are rooted in and directly address: the absence of material and economic dignity for the majority; inequality in social status and substantive rights based on identity; and inequities in recognition, participation and political presence. This IIHS School’s core themes draw from the structures of inequality in Indian cities.
